Lee’s Grand Lake Resort is a Christian-owned, family-oriented resort located in Grove, Oklahoma along the bluffs overlooking the beautiful Grand Lake O the Cherokees. We are a Christ-centered welcoming community of employees who work hard, share a real passion to serve others, and enjoy creating memorable experiences for our guests and residents. The Resort has more than 25 cabins, a café, marina, meeting and wedding venues, RV sites as well as mobile home residents.

Job Summary

Lee’s Grand Lake Resort is seeking a full-time, reliable, punctual, trustworthy, friendly, detailed and enthusiastic individual who loves gardening and passionate towards landscaping to be responsible for maintaining the Resort's landscaping, clearing away debris to keep the environment safe and secure. The beautiful appearance of our landscapes is one of our most prized assets. So the technician must take great pride in their work! This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary duties: Maintain the resort's cleanliness and overall exterior beauty throughout the year.  

  • General landscaping tasks such as: 

  • Trimming and pruning of flowers/trees/bushes

  • Mowing lawns, including string-trimming, edging and blowing

  • Perform yard cleanups, removing yard debris and leaves

  • Lawn fertilization, weed control and watering the flower beds  

  • Regularly update General Manager on the status of the Resort’s grounds as a whole

  • Able to design, plan and execute landscape projects from start to finish

  • Participate in other projects and activities as assigned

  • Complete jobs within the guidelines of OSHA compliance standards

  • Monitor and maintain the condition of the Resort’s property, and equipment

  • Respond to maintenance requests promptly

  • Interact with guests to solve problems, answer questions and provide general customer service.

 

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work independently and remain motivated

  • Prioritization and time management skills

  • Professionalism along with speed and attention to detail

  • Proficient skills in operating various hand tools and power equipment. 

  • Required to work certain weekends, and holidays

  • Work with minimal supervision

  • Ability to respond to resort needs during non-business hours.

  • Helpful with customer service orientation

  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of English language

  • Valid driver’s license

Essential Physical Demands

  • Able to lift up to 80 lbs 

  • Able to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to reach, carry, lift, etc.

  • Constant exposure to outside weather conditions

  • Continuously climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position

  • Regularly move throughout the park
